ENGWE Y700 ABE – German-Compliant Foldable Electric Scooter

The ENGWE Y700 ABE is a powerful, long-range electric scooter designed for comfortable everyday commuting and urban travel. Combining a 500W compliant rear hub motor, 48V 18.2Ah lithium-ion battery and a range of up to 85 km, it delivers a practical balance of performance, comfort and convenience.

Certified by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) and designed to comply with German road traffic regulations, the Y700 ABE is built with safety and everyday usability in mind. It features front and rear suspension, ventilated disc brakes, puncture-resistant 10 × 3.0-inch tyres, integrated lighting and multiple riding modes.

Powerful 500W Compliant Motor

The brushless rear hub motor delivers 500W of power and 28 Nm of torque, providing smooth acceleration and enough power for everyday urban riding and inclines of up to 20°. The Y700 ABE has a compliant maximum speed of 20 km/h, with the system designed around European road-use requirements.

Long-Range 48V Battery

A high-capacity 48V 18.2Ah lithium-ion battery provides a claimed maximum range of up to 85 km, depending on riding conditions, rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding mode. The battery takes approximately 9–10 hours to fully charge using the supplied 2A charger.

Comfortable Suspension & Wide Tyres

The Y700 ABE is equipped with front and rear spring suspension to help absorb bumps and uneven surfaces. Its wide 10 × 3.0-inch rubber urban tyres provide stability and a comfortable ride across a variety of everyday road surfaces.

Reliable Braking System

Safety is supported by front and rear mechanical disc brakes with ventilated 140 mm discs, providing controlled braking performance. The scooter also features a rear brake light and side reflectors to improve visibility.

Smart Unlocking & App Connectivity

The Y700 ABE offers convenient modern features including Bluetooth app connectivity, a 3.5-inch LCD display and multiple unlocking options. Riders can use a keypad PIN code or NFC for contactless unlocking.

Choose between different riding modes to suit your journey:

• Walk Assist: 6 km/h

• Eco: 10 km/h

• Drive: 15 km/h

• Sport: 20 km/h

A kick-to-start system activates the motor from approximately 3 km/h.

Built for Everyday Conditions

With an IPX5 water-resistance rating, the Y700 ABE is designed to handle splashes and light rain. Its integrated 40-lux front headlight, rear brake light and side reflectors provide improved visibility when riding in lower-light conditions.

Foldable & Practical Design

Despite its robust construction, the Y700 ABE can be folded for easier transportation and storage. The scooter weighs approximately 31.7 kg including the battery and supports a maximum payload of 120 kg.
